The three areas of sin that result in the downfall of many christians are the love of women (illicit sexual immorality), love of money (the desire to become rich) and the love of position and prominence (pride).
The scripture confirms: "love not the world, neither the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world" (1 Jn 2:15,16).
No one is immune to these sins. There is somewhat a high rate of failure among Christian leaders because of these sins.
Proper training is therefore essential as it involves the character building and developing an absolute trust in God and in His Word. If you walk in faith, you will not be insecure. You will be above to avoid the snares of the evil one.
